Lose Yourself (Original Demo Version) by Eminem was released today..

Was wondering what your thoughts were on it?

Do you like the finalized one that came out back in the day better? or is this raw original version better to you?

I like the one that came out more, the hook on the demo version doesn't appeal me.

Yeah I agree.. the hook on the final version is waayyyy better for sure!

One thing about this original demo version though that I noticed, IMO, is that he rapped more about his own personal thoughts and feelings.. like it was more for himself.. but the final song that came out, was almost more inspirational for other people. For his listeners, and fans.. like more motivational and what not..

The original demo version is good though.. it just feels to me like it was more of what was in his heart and soul, rather than something to inspire others.. like the real finished version that came out along with the movie 8 mile..


Speaking of which.. I feel like he channelled more of how the character "B-Rabbit" would feel and what he would say.. as compared to this original demo version where it's all around 100% Marshall..

Sounded good either one but since my ears have been accustomed to listening to the final version that the demo just sounded bland

The lyrics were tight, but the hook was weak.
It's a demo any ways, but hip-hop sounds weak when underproduced.
