Was reading through the information of The Last, and it seems that Kishimoto is classifying this movie as "Chapter 699.5" which is also present in one of the posters as well. I guess it was his way of showing how much relevance the movie is in terms of it's canon and the "hints" that he mentioned we should look in chapter 700.

-Side characters got ignored after the Immortals arc.
-Sai's turn around from being Danzo's tool to a Naruto groupie was too sudden.

2. How long did you want Naruto to be a underdog? He had to grow eventually.

4. Naw he was with the team for some time before it happen. He learned the bonds of friendship through Naruto. When he realized how much Sasuke mattered to him.
5. I think it was hidden for suprise value. I see nothing wrong with that.
