I think the databook is full of shit and contradictions and should not be taken too seriously. In my opinion it should just be used for clearer explanations, but if the information is clearly contradictory to what we've seen in the manga, it should not be considered "canon".

Jin no Sho = massive hype, free elements for everyone, and info we already knew.

IMO, databook is reliable only for new content or deeper explanations that do not contradict the manga. As for the hyperboles and exaggeration, people and jutsu are hyped all the time in the manga so I don't really know why that's a big deal to some people.

Which is why I like the databook. It gives interesting tidbits that couldnt fit into the manga

Latest data book I accept as canon since most of the info is up to date. honestly from what I have seen and read from translations the databook doesn't even have any glaring contradictions unlike the outdated previous ones.

The db adds deeper insight to things that weren't elaborated on in the manga. Its does add hype that isn't necessary. Just little facts.
