[Discussion] Will Hancock x Luffy ever happen?

Unlike Naruto, One Piece pairings are very much enjoyable with different fan groups respecting each others opinion. The most popular pairing in One Piece is Hancock x Luffy, and they have had pretty sweet scenes earlier in the series. Oda himself made sure the audience realize how much Hancocks likes Luffy

But will they ever get together? I don't think so

1) One Piece doesn't have love as a theme. There's no shitty love quadrangle like that in Naruto

2) Luffy doesn't reciprocate Hancock's feeling. Does he even understand what romantic love is?

3) Hancock is the captain of Kuja pirates, plus the queen of the Amazon Lily. Will the sexist amazon lily tribe accept their queen marrying a man? Probably not

4) Age and intellectual difference. Luffy is still a teenage brat with a thick head while hancock is a mature and intelligent woman, the same age as Robin. Hancock can literally babysit luffy. When Luffy becomes eligible for marriage, hancock will be a middle aged woman

I don't think it'll happen & I wouldn't want it to happen anyways. If there was a relationship between the two at EoS, we would of had some hinting towards it (you know how Oda is with foreshadowing). Pirate King doesn't need a s!ut as his wife.

When luffy becomes the Pirate King, the Luffy x Hancock will come true, because Hancock is the Pirate Empress. So at least in titular terms it will always be Hancock X Luffy.

But I get the feeling he will end up with Nami.

I think luffy shouldn't hook up with her. It's central to his character for him to act childish and totally oblivious to *** and eroticism, thats what makes him so unique and different to most people. 99% of 17 years old would have instantly had *** with her the second she was flirting with him like that in her chamber.

Nami isn't interested in anything other than money. At first I thought Nami x Sanji would be an item but I realize none of the strawhats have interest in serious romance. Zoro is probably the only one who is mature/serious enough to fall in love. He has pretty good relation with Tashigi and Perona
