Akainu is actually far from my favorite, I just think hes badass and epic, my fav actually is kuma so my ava and sig has nothing to do with my fave .I aint gonna lie Doffy is an ass but I still hate Akainu waaay more than him.
OT: Great chapter U_U Oda never dissappoints U_U.
He developed a Father son Bond with Law. Off course it would be okay for him to say that. Considering what he witnessed, His father getting killed by his own brother.Great chapter.. although it was really weird to hear Rosinate say he loves Law. Anyway that first page really confused me I just didn't get it. That what time line its coming from.
The quote above is my post from the previous discussion thread, from last week. I'd like to mention that Rosinante and Doflamingo's father was also smiling before his death. I think there's a connection, but what do I know.So the 'D' could possibly stand for 'defectors'? Rosinante, a defector of the World Nobles, was smiling before his death.
Yeah, he's definitely in my top fav. 5 OP characters for sure and he was only introduced like 6 chps ago. I can't wait to see him in the OP volume cover which will most likely be the next one.Good and yet sad chapter. Can't believe Roci is really dead now... He was such an awesome character and made a great team with Law..
Doffy is a great villain but i hate this piece of shit and i really can't wait to see him getting kicked the shit out of his life.
No offense, but if you take a dictionary and search for words that start with a 'D', you can find hundreds of words that can be interpreted in countless of ways that they would fit the story: death, destruction, despair, defiance... The word 'defector' is no different than all those. You're just taking a word that starts with a 'D' and provide some reason as why 'D' would refer to that word, but as said that can easily be done with hundreds of words, there is nothing that sets it apart.Incredible how Oda-senpai managed to turn one of the most ridiculous abilities into an amazingly touching plot device.

There's a reason as to why the CDs fear Doflamingo, who'd also be a defector. As a former noble, he knows of a national treasure of some sort, and, I quote, its existence alone would shake the world to its core. If you consider this, it's not unlikely that other defectors hold the same kind of information. If there are other defectors, that is. There must also be a reason as to why Doflamingo hates those who carry the 'D' in their names. This hate could come from his father, who's the sole reason as to why they defected, but there's not much else to go on.No offense, but if you take a dictionary and search for words that start with a 'D', you can find hundreds of words that can be interpreted in countless of ways that they would fit the story: death, destruction, despair, defiance... People who carry the initial 'D' don't even know what it stands for, Saul even stated that everyone in his family 'just has it'. They themselves don't know the meaning of it, but regularly some show a certain sense of pride in it referring to Roger saying 'it's Gol D Roger, not Gold Roger'. The latter was done by the WG presumably to hide the fact he is a 'D' and the Celestial Dragons use people with the 'D' in their name as some kind of a boogeyman for their children. Also the Neferatari's from Alabasta did not go to Mariejois even though they were part of the Celestial Dragons and they do not have a 'D' in their names. Lastly the Celestial Dragons and the WG came into being by taking down an unknown dominating force.
From this paragraph you can draw the following conclusions:
1) The CD are the 'natural enemies' of the 'D's and the power of the CD is derived from them taking down an unknown force all those centuries ago. So if anything the CD themselves would be the defectors as they came into being by taking down an existing force. Considering they see the 'D's as their enemies, it's very well possible the 'D's are the descendants or at least the representatives of this lost force.
2) People have left the CD before, while not carrying the initial 'D'. Considering the amount of 'D's in the world, it's also very unlikely to think all of them were once part of the CD's.
3) Considering CD's fear the 'D's, it's illogical to think they were the ones who gave them that name. As they supposedly defected, the most logical assumption would be that the CD themselves gave them that name, but then they fear it? In the case they themselves decided to carry that initial, why would they do it to remember they defected? And even forget about it? The CD's have shown to still have some info about what happened centuries ago, the 'D's don't.
It all doesn't make any sense. The initial 'D' carries an extremely heavy load that can shake the world's foundations. That it just means defector sounds very shallow.
Lately the discussions about the meaning of the initial 'D' have gone the same way how many people see in every new character the next Strawhat and in every character that has the letter 'd' in his name, a new 'D'.
Perhaps because of the translation. MangaP put the dialogue as "You can't shoot me. You're just like father!" in which, as if Doffy was mocking Rosi. That alone showed how cruel Doffy was even to his own blood-related family.I'm kinda sad that no one seems to understand the toll this must be taking on, wait for it, Doffy himself. Yes, Doffy. Look at his face the entire chapter, I don't think in this chapter or the previous one, Doffy has smiled yet. Even when infuriated at Law and Luffy, he still cracked smiles, but now, he isn't. Doffy's face has been filled with pain and agony. First, Doflamingo lost his mother, then he had to kill his father. His words to Roci "Why'd you make me have to kill my family again" and "I can't do it, you look too much like Father" show that Doffy is taking no pleasure in this, this isn't something that's easy for Doflamingo to do.
And that kinda happiness is more to mockery U_UKind of random but do you guys think we'll ever see Law laugh? It's pretty random but it's just a thought I had since this dude had the most tragic past in OP. The "happiest" we've seen him was when he cut Vergo/SAD.
Yeah I can't wait till that happens. And that kinda happiness is more to mockery U_U
Perhaps when everything in Dressrosa is over, conflict with Doffy and all, i bet he would smile to Luffy first, and the happiest one is during the time he reunites with his crews again at Zou, i think![]()
