Neji just seemed like a random one to kill off. It makes me wonder why Kishimoto brings back so many other characters like Kakashi, Gaara, hell even Shizune ffs, but kills off Neji permanently. It's a shame how he tries to protects his characters with plot so much but then wants to kill off someone who had much potential just like that, but i guess it can be a good sign that Neji is dead. At least he is free from his clans cage and can die knowing he protected someone he cared for.

That is why I think it was more for drawing a Parallel to his father .... who did the same. Which strangely also resulted in Hiyashi becoming less arrogant.

Nevertheless, Neji's death was one, if not the worst random death in this story. Deaths like Jiraiya, Chiyo and Asuma were appropriate deaths because their trust was already given to the next generation so it was expected. Neji is still a kid who could have lived his life even longer and experienced more things.

Honestly that shock factor WAS required to make a impression ... just like Itama's death affected Hashirama.

And Neji's funeral was not even shown in a way that was significant.

Killing off Neji for a NH moment was trashy.

Neji should have been killed back in Part 1 against the spider guy.It was a more fitting death than the fodder one he got just for NH to happen.What a waste of a good character

Yep, it's really pathetic . Even Hanabi is being used for NH development in the movie.

Though, I have heard that Neji was supposedly to die back then but Kishis editors told him to keep him alive. That would have been such an incredible death for him.

I like Ino, Temari, Tayuya. Tsunade, and even Karin in this manga. I am female. So when I say this, I'm not sexist, I'm not biased.

Sakura and Hinata's Developement and personality traits are dowright crappy. No matter what happened, they were always just wanting romance. It had nothing to do with "Sakura being a house wife". I disliked her character since around the Pein arc. And Hinata, while I don't "dislike" her, she's mediocre at best.
