I have always thought that the series might end in Naruto and Sasuke both dying before Naruto is made Hokage, and then they end it with his face on the mountain anyways.

Is it really impossible that we would get an end just like that? I know it's more likely that we get some sugarsweet crap where he gets a kid with one of the females and we get an ending of him teaching him bunshin or something like that. But I wouldn't say it's completely out of the picture.
