I believe what he is referencing is the "hype" Nagato was given in the 4th DB that stated he was immune to all visual Genjutsu because of the Rin'negan, but I don't think that was the correct translation. That was literally the same day the scans were released, so changes have been made in translation. Most likely the only "Rin'negan's" that are immune are the ones possessed by Sasuke, Kaguya and Madara.
