the anime does a great job with obito. they take the dialogueless manga scenes and add more context. i wanted to see obito take the exams and i got my wish. hes derpy <3

Good episode!

If I hadn't read the manga, then I would have said, great episode. Because that's what anime is. It portrays a deeper sense of emotion from the characters so that the watcher can feel it as well. That's something that pages can't do.

Basically all this Obito flashback is just us the watchers understanding the gravity of the situation.

On that note, I actually wish I never started reading the manga after I caught up with the anime. Biggest mistake. A lot of other people probably did the same thing and now they're saying the anime sucks.

I'm pretty sure if you didn't already know what was about to happen, you wouldn't be so cynical.
