The pressure is on Studio Pierrot to perform!!

As Naruto (manga) has ended do you think the Animation team (Studio Pierrot)for the anime have to give 100% until the series ends.
They have no more excuse, they have to give the show the best animation until then. No more sloppy animation

You'd be surprised, for example: Attack on Titan was revised before the Home Video Release. It is plausible that between the airing and Home Video Release there were light modifications to the footage. I.E: Detail/Artwork.

None of them have experience with long series like Naruto, I doubt any of them could even afford it.

What people don't understand is that even animating a single episode is costly, so animating series that have over 300 episodes ends up having a tight budget. There is a certain level of acceptability and SP have fallen below that recently but, you can't expect amazing animation every episode. We're lucky in that Naruto is one of the few long-running series to have some of the best animators in Japan on their books.

Even if the likes of Ghibli miraculously could afford to animate the series, the animation would either a) end up the same way or b) they would go bankrupt.

That's well over 100 episodes. So no the studio's I mentioned are well qualified. It's just that unlike naruto who throws in fillers to keep airtime. They do season with breaks in between. Thus keeping the quality of their work high.

Heck. Studio Mir asked studio pierrot to help in season 2 of low but since the quality was so jarringly different. They never came back. It ended up being considered the worst season.

A crap ton of which were filler, which they could have chosen to simply not animate and wait for the manga instead of doing this in order to conserve their funds for good animation of the stuff people will actually watch.

I agree. But the filler is also a way to bring in revenue besides the end of part 1 ones. You can almost never buy around the filler.

The Boondocks was handled by a dozen different studios - Mir only did 10.

And there's only been 45 eps of Korra - all done in seasons with breaks that have lasted up to a year between each season. And besides, Pierrot have done a dozen of Korra eps too. A lot of prep work is done for the likes of Korra anyway; there was a one year break between two seasons.

But this should hurt their business as well. If a season contains a crap-ton of filler, and only a story that was OK and not great in the manga, whereas one could consider to buy it for the cannon story, that person wouldn't because he doesn't care to pay enough for filler and an only average storyline. This is too greedy for the company's own good anyway. In any case, they don't have an excuse. Fairy Tail is a long-running manga series, and it's getting much better animation.
