He didn't. He turned good in the span of multiple chapters gradually. Even the final fight didn't have him evil. He simply felt that his method was the best to save the world. If anything, it was self-sacrificial. He just felt that Naruto beat his way of life (power).

Yeah .... I guess I shouldn't deny it. I also felt that it was kinda badly done [as is 90% of everything in this manga] .... Sasuke's whole arc of being evil and shit should have been settled before the war started tbh, but no, instead it's left to the last minute and the most hyped up fight in the series lasts 2 chapters max in terms of actual fighting.

He still had intent to kill throughout the fight, meaning he wasn't converted. He had a change of heart when they were on the ground dying. He realized they were both going to die, and decided to finally let Naruto in.

So he was going to make the world miserable for an eternity? Wow, even the Moon's Eye Plan was better than that(minus the Zetsu recton).

Another flaw was how he planned on being immortal through the reincarnation cycle. He'll lose all his power and memories when he is reincarnated.

There are also some plot holes regarding how he come up with this plan.

Naruto after the ending: 5/10

I still consider Naruto being an ok series because it gave us so many amazing characters such as Obito, Sasuke, Itachi, Nagato and Madara. But then, there's all the plot holes, the inconsistencies and the underdeveloped characters that drag it down to a subpar series at best. I think Kishi could of made it one of the best if he actually paid attention to it, but unfortunately, it went down hill.
