Enough with the Gai threads. We've already debated this.

He wins both. Scenario 2 would be high diff:

Yata is the main problem but instead, Gai just plays safe by evading Susanoo's attacks till Susanoo drops and then Gai finishes him off.

Both scenarios come down to Gai dancing around Itachi till he can't maintain Yata anymore, then he blasts his Susanoo, and himself, away with Hirudora.

There's no way Gai can keep his 7th gate up longer than healthy Itachi can keep up his Susano'o.

The reason why Gai was tired is because he used Hirudora against Kisame, not because of just being in the 7th Gate, so once again you are wrong. Not to mention he doesn't need to stay in the 7th Gate, 6th Gate would suffice for evading Susanoo, 7th when he needs to evade Amaterasu, then he can go back down to 6th. Then when Susanoo drops enough levels Yata isn't maintainable, Gai blows it apart with Hirudora.

Gai isn't faster than the speed of lightning, which Itachi reacted to at an exhausted state. Itachi wins.

big moves like asakujaku / hirodora leaves a big opening for itachi to tank with yata mirror and oneshot with amaterasu .

But if gai keeps himself out of itachi's LoS and pummels him to exhaustion using regular taijutsu he could win .

however , if itachi sets up a few explosive clones and gai hits one of them itachi can take the opportunity to totsuka/amaterasu while gai is wounded/confused .

You are wrong. Gai clearly stated it was Hachimon itself that exhausted him, not Hirudora.

Hirudora is part of the Hachimon. So no, I'm not wrong.

Yeah but still fighting afterwards Lol Previously in the 6th and using Asakujaku before opening the 7th

Not to mention, the war arc feats shit on any logic suggesting Gai can't go on and off the Gates for a period of time.

He put emphasis on Hachimon, not on Hirudora. Maintaining Gates tears one's muscles apart and literally destroys the body. Using one jutsu with power granted by Gates is nowhere near as demanding and exhausting as Gates themselves.

Also, even without using Hirudora, the amount of time he could spend in 7th gate would most likely go up from less than 1 minute to less than 2 minutes. Healthy Itachi should have no problem with outlasting it. Hell, even sick Itachi without having spent his chakra beforehand would do that.

I literally explained the stamina misconception yesterdayand people still feel the need to discuss it?! What's the purpose at this point? Did I not just expressed the ^^above statments already?! This site is a mess now.

No emphasis was put on anything. He only said "Hachimon", thus using the Gates is what tired him out. Hirudora is something he did when in Gated Mode, so unless you are trying to argue that Hirudora isn't apart of the Gates, and that using it did not contribute to his fatigue in any way, I suggest you stop here.

Manga completely disagrees. Gai is fine, then he uses Hirudora and exits the 7th Gate, and he's not fine. Even then, the longer you stay in it, the worse the fall back will be when you exit it, but as the manga shows Gai was perfectly fine after using Hirudora, but when he went back to normal, he couldn't move.

-Lee saw his weakened state, and asked if he had used Hirudora.

-Gai is relatively fine. Uses Hirudora.

Now he's not fine.

Also, even without using Hirudora, the amount of time he could spend in 7th gate would most likely go up from less than 1 minute to less than 2 minutes. Healthy Itachi should have no problem with outlasting it. Hell, even sick Itachi without having spent his chakra beforehand would do that.

Just your assumption. As Evani showed, he entered the 6th Gate, and used Asa Kujaku, then he entered the 7th and used Hirudora. Gai was in Gated mode from the moment he saved Naruto w/ Kakashi, then he powered up to the Sixth Gate and reverted later on, perfectly fine.

Gai doesn't need to be in the 7th Gate longer than Itachi can hold Susanoo. He can go into the Gates in a split second, and he can exit them at the same speed. The lower Gates don't hurt him as bad as the 7th does, so he can hold them longer.

Lol @Kidgamer, see how long he was battling on and off it:

Not to mention even before the war arc, he opened the 6th gate and used Asakujaku before he used Hirudora against Kisame.

Came in already in the gates when he forced Obito to materialize

Opened the 6th gates after that , closed it , opened it again and used Asakujaku ..Opened it yet again and showed no signs of being exhausted since he battled Obito shortly after with his Shoshuga..Not to mention he then opened the 7th and still used Hirudora when Madara came.

I'm not even talking about what he did while opening the 8th gates yet which is far more taxing

Lol, right. No reason why stamina is why Gai loses here.
