Was the Zetsu transformation of Infinite Tsukuyomi a cop-out?
I feel that aspect of the Moon's Eye Plan was an asspull to make it villainous rather than a grey area. Narutoverse is pretty shitty when you think about:
-Child soldiers(The premise of Naruto). Who part take in the second stage of the Chunin Exams which they can die.
-Legalize of slavery(Hyuuga clan branch affairs).
-Overpopulation, which caused nations to start wars to gain worth so they won't starve.
-People who give up on life, like Kakashi's father.
-Murderous religions(Hidan).
-A ninja abandoning a village(missing-nin) would warrant death, iirc.
Trading this for a blissful Genjutsu and immortality via Tree connection isn't too bad. The only argument that was used against it was that it was a lie. However, Naruto believes in lying to protect people himself. He wants to keep the truth about the Uchiha clan a secret to protect its reputation, remember?
I think Kishi realize that a lot of readers would sympathize with this plan too much(and many did). So he pulled this out of his ass to put the alliance in the white area. So what do you think?
