About the final pairings. It's down right hilarious how much some people care about romance in a Shounen manga. Naruto and Sasuke were awesome at the end. Who they ended up with is irrelevant. Some egos will probably be hurt, but I wanna see the reasoning behind it.

I would have been fine with it ending at 699 and just showing Naruto as the Hokage in the movie. 700 was ok but it was nothing of significance to me.

A highly intelligent person has spoken.

Same here. It was okay to see their kids and Konoha's prosperity, but nothing worth raging about.

****s were flying, I just slapped them down. I don't really care about pairing, implying that I ever really cared anyway. It's just a show, I can never understand why people cry over pairings.

Well some of us care because we want to see a complete picture.
Naruto was about growth and maturity along with friendship and love. Fortuenatly love, growth, and maturity usually involve romantic encounter. Both of which naruto and sasuke did not have, infact the only person that i can confirm to have had a romantic encounter pre chpt 700 is asuma (Outside of obivous characters like Sarutobi and Hashirama and any parents)

You missed arm day.

I honestly wish.

I can understand that. What I don't understand is the frustration towards who ended up with whom.

Didn't really matter to me who ended up with who honestly. Naruto could have ended up with Ino and it would have been fine with me. XD

I might have cared if Kishi gave any real relevence to the romance in the series. But he wasn't even good at writing for women characters, I didn't expect any comprehensive or actual romance as well.

So it's all good with me. And who Naruto and gang ended up with didn't take anything away from the ending for me. I am just glad he actually became Hokage :win:

I sort of have a similar opinion. Besides, it was foreshadowed who was gonna end up with whom. If Kishimoto wanted to highlight the romance a bit more, he should have elaborated it more from Naruto's and Sasuke's perspective. Since it's not the case, it really is irrelevant in the end.

Who they ended up with is just as relevant as anything else in the manga. You may not find it important, but Kishimoto sure did. Important to enough make it the central focus of the FINAL CHAPTER of his life's work. Think about that for a moment. And then reconsider whose ego is hurt by this fact. Lol

Not really. The final focus of the chapter was Konoha's and Naruto's future in general. I don't know why my ego would be hurt because of my curiosity.

Yeah, Konoha's future generation. The majority of that chapter focused on K11's children. I wonder what those children are a result of. Hm.

They're the result of an older generation breaking the cycle of hatred. The children are one of the future's aspect.

They're a result of pairings. You can dance around the answer as much as you like, but it doesn't change #mangafacts. You already admitted that you don't care about pairings, and your first post states that pairings are irrelevant. There wouldn't be a future generation without the pairings. I bet you were one of those guys who thought The Last wouldn't be canon because it's about love, huh? Funny that Kishimoto would dedicate an entire movie to something so irrelevant.
