Who would you have wanted Tobi to be?

Say you could choose one identity for Tobi. Any identity. Which one would you choose?

I'd go with Sasuke/Naruto from a post apocalyptic future who actually turns out to be a fanboy who made himself look like Sasuke/Naruto to try to save the world, failed, and went back in time. Anyone who gets this reference wins the internets.

In all seriousness, I think it would have been badass if he were Indra. Would have been a way better final villain than Kaguya IMO. At least Indra was first mentioned 250 chapters before the end instead of like 40 chapters. It would also have answered a lot of questions back then like how did Madara survive vs Hashirama (Indra saved him), etc. It could even have been Indra in Obito's body.

Indra and MAYBE Izuna. Or maybe Tobi being Madara like he initially said he was. That's about it though. Pretty much anyone else would definitely have been a lot worse.

Obito was certainly better than someone like Kagami (fodder who Danzo knew like 70 years ago who was mentioned ONCE).

I think that Izuna would have been interesting but Izuna and Madara would have been too powerful - if they used that power while as Tobi I think the plot would have changed in some more ways.

no one else. obito had connections to people. izuna or indra are random people from the past. why would he pretend to be madara if he stole izunas eyes according to the original story?
