Apologies, I linked the wrong bio when I applied. It should have been . It doesn't make a difference but yeah xD.

It had been some time since his first encounter with Madara Uchiha at the Uchiha Hideout where he trained to awaken the second stage of his Sharingan. Flashes of the past flickered through his mind of their encounter and his taunting words pointing out his weakness and his inability to kill his brother. No memories remained of Madara's ominous words of Sasuke's descent into hatred, however. He had no room for them. No time to second guess himself and his mission to avenge his clan. Closing his eyes and quickly flicking them open again activating his two tomoe sharingan as he leaped down the cliff side toward the water he was ready to begin the final step in his training to kill Itachi. He needed eyes that could see through the illusions. Eyes that could see his brother for what he truly was.
Type: Supplementary
Rank: A-Rank
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 30 (-10 per turn to keep active)
Damage: N/A
Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single tomoe (巴) seal appears around the center pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives color to chakra, enabling the user to differentiate chakras from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see chakra, Sharingan users gain acess to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through handseals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his chakra to manipulate the enemy's chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time.
Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn.
Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill.
Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique.
Note: Danzo and Kakashi bios activate the Sharingan by removing the covers in their respective eyes and suffer a +10 chakra consumption per turn penalty
Note: The user is bound by the abilities and limits of the stage of sharingan he possesses, stated in the rules of the KG.

Landing by the feet of the statue of Hashirama Sasuke couldn't help but feel somewhat uneasy with his position. He stood by the statue that his former comrade and friend Naruto did. Sasuke did not carry the will of fire. It left him uneasy standing under the statue of the famed God of Shinobi. This was the place they fought. It would be the place where Sasuke would awaken his complete Sharingan.

"You can come out now, Madara." Sasuke shouted while standing there alone on the river.

Blah, we'll start the RP based parts later >.>

I prefer to do the first part of 3T training as a form of Q&A first and then a battle being RP based and then ending with the Sharingan genjutsu. That being said, let's begin! So the third tomoe of the Sharingan is essentially an "upgrade" of previous stages as well as new abilities granted. We need to see how much of and what of the Sharingan you know at this point as 3T usage has, in the past, been flawed.

The Sharingan is able to track movement speeds beyond that of the user's speed. At what level does each tomoe track and what does this essentially mean? Can the user move and counter taijutsu movements faster than himself? Can he track this speed with clarity or only movements of linear paths? What else does this increase in perception mean?

Can the user move and counter taijutsu movements faster than himself? Can he track this speed with clarity or only movements of linear paths? What else does this increase in perception mean?
lol kk.

At the first tomoe the Sharingan is capable of tracking speeds at 1.5x the user's speed. At the second tomoe the Sharingan is capable of tracking at 2x the user's speed. And in the third tomoe stage the Sharingan is capable of tracking at 4x the user's base speed. So the first tomoe is roughly equivalent to the first gate of the EIG depending on other boosts the user has as well as their opponent. The second tomoe is equivalent to roughly the second gate. And the third tomoe gains an enormous boost in tracking capabilities capable of tracking up to 6th gate speeds. So to me and my understanding of what tracking is in the RP is our eyes ability to keep up with speeds higher than our own. This means that someone who may be moving at say, 4th gate speeds, and I am capable of tracking them, they will appear as if they are moving normally to me. That is what I see as tracking. This in no way means I am capable of reacting to their increased speed which means I need to keep suitable distance between myself and them to ensure I can time my counters appropriately. So this answers your second question about countering taijutsu movements faster than himself. The answer is both yes and no. If someone moving at a much higher speed than myself gets within close range of me I won't be able to move my body fast enough to stop them despite being able to see them. However I can accurately counter taijutsu movements outside of that range with space between me and the opponent by keeping them away.

So with regards to clarity versus just being able to track linear paths. I believe the Sharingan, as long as it is at the appropriate level to track higher speeds, can track with clarity. I believe I saw this in Sasuke's fight with Naruto in Part 1 where Naruto move in a zig zag and Sasuke was able to keep up with his movements as he had just awoken the third tomoe granting him incredible clarity. Of course, this becomes harder to do as the opponent's speed nears exceeding the user's tracking capabilities. So for example, it is much easier to see movements of someone with a three tomoe sharingan if they are moving only at say 3rd gate speeds. However, if they are moving at 6th gate speeds and practically match your tracking capabilities it becomes much harder.

So the increase in perception comes into play with everything the Sharingan sees. I'll begin with taijutsu and speed of course. So perceptive abilities that are granted by the Sharingan create a sort of afterimage with enemy movements which goes beyond what normal tracking capabilities can provide. So while I am able to track them I can also perceive their movements with not only clarity but with a sort of prediction into what they will do next allowing me to create better counters with this increase in knowledge. The afterimages, as you explained before, become much harder to see as the opponent's speed increases to the limit of the user's tracking capabilities. So a 6th gate user will have almost no afterimage to a Sharingan user with a third tomoe viewing them. Perception also comes into play with hand seals. In the previous stage (2T) the user is capable of predicting the nature of ninjutsu by both seeing the hand seals and seeing the nature of the chakra the opponent is molding be it fire, wind, water, etc. However this is complicated with advanced natures and custom elements. Additionally, a user of a 3t Sharingan becomes capable of actually copying hand seals and techniques with the clarity of perception granted by his or her eyes. So this doesn't allow me to use a technique before an opponent does their own even though I may know what it is (due to timeframe) but I can quickly close the gap and create an accurate counter just as they release their technique at me.

Most of your post is accurate. The 1 Tomoe of the sharingan grants the user first and foremost the ability to track speeds 1.5x his own speed, equivalent to the first of the EIG. Most taijutsu attacks done by the average ninja will be trackable as they will likely be around the same speed as you. The second tomoe increases this perception to being able to track up to 2x his own speed, equal to the second of the EIG. The visual acuity of the Sharingan increases, allowing one to be able to now track the handseal speed of the opponent, seeing the seals performed with clarity, the user now being able to copy these very seals (we'll cover the restrictions regarding this later). The third tomoe increases this perception even more, allowing the user to track speeds up to 4x his own speed, the same speed as the 6th Inner Gate. Advanced levels from the basic three tomoe is first the Mangekyou Sharingan, capable of tracking speeds up to 5 times the user's speed, over the speed of the 6th gate, but not quite as fast as the 7th while the second is the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, capable of tracking speeds up to 6 times the speed of the user.

It should also be noted that small movements will be noticeable by the eyes that perceive much. This was first shown during the Chuunin Exams when Sasuke copied the movements of the Genin seated in front of him with ease, despite not being able to see his entire arm and hand. He was able to see the shoulder and upper arm of the Genin moving with great clarity, using this movement to predict the movements of his hand with such clarity, that he was able to cheat on the written test easily and pass. This means that even small insignificant movements done by opponents will be easily seen to a Sharingan wielder, the twitch of a finger, the small blink of an eye or the swish of a cloak, all would be seen as clearly as if the user was standing inches away from the object, watching it. Even the flexing of an arm would be noticable and trackable by the Sharingan.

We'll get to the parts about Ninjutsu and Elemental Affinities later, this was to review the Taijutsu and Tracking/Sensory abilities of the Sharingan, which you are knowledgeable in.

Now, a bit more tricky question. The Sharingan is able to perceive chakra as well as track speeds. This allows him to track chakra and sense it on a greater but more specific scale. What do I mean by this? Something else that should be noted is that the Sharingan possess a sort of "dual vision". What are these two fields of vision and how do they interact with one another? The Sharingan is also able to pierce through some objects with ease, but not many and to a certain extent; what is this extent?

So I think of this dual vision as a form of infrared vision or night vision in a sense. You have regular sight as if you were looking with your normal eyes but your eyes also pick up chakra which is where this infrared vision and night vision come into play. The prime example of this I can think of off the top of my head is Sasuke and Itachi's fight with Kabuto during the war. At the start of the fight Kabuto shed his skin and went to hide behind some stalagmites to which Sasuke replied by focusing chakra in his eyes (which I figured was done when his eyes spun around) and highlighted Kabuto's presence behind the stalagmite. However, this was hindered by seeing multiple figures of chakra which confused Sasuke. So to answer your question directly the dual vision is a chakra vision highlighting chakra and a regular sight able to perceive the world around them as a any normal human would with regular eyes.

So as I previously said Sasuke could see through the stalagmite. He could really only see the chakra signature behind it. So the counterpart to this is the Byakugan which in a sense has long distance vision that can see through anything producing a regular vision behind it while the Sharingan can only see the chakra behind objects that aren't insanely wide. I can't really put an exact number on the width requirement of the sharingan though. This is both a strength and a weakness of the Sharingan as one can easily confuse a Sharingan user with something like Hiding in Mist because the mist is chakra infused which effectively blinds a Sharingan user in the mist as they can see basically a shroud of the opponent's chakra.

Well, you are correct but there are some things I must point out. I don't really like Copying and pasting information, but I feel my post in Iimperfect and Kakashi's thread to be detailed enough to serve the point I'm trying to make.

First, one should understand the main difference in between the two Doujutsus lies in their usage and the purpose of it. What makes Byakugan unique isn't that the user can see through chakra. It's that it can focus past anything to see this chakra. It has almost no blindspot, and can pinpoint any detail. In essence, Byakugan differs from Sharingan because it is a telescopic vision, and a much more detailed chakra visual capabilities, able to pinpoint the specifics indentations and variations of chakra (though a Byakugan user will be able to explain in more detail of course).

Sharingan, on the other hand, is a more brutish chakra vision, it can sense the bulk of the chakra, and the general shape and flow of the system that composes a technique or organisms. It is effective in seeing what's hidden, what's wrong, and what's real. It can pierce through illusions simply because it has the visual acuity to look past them, and see the reality of what is really there, but it excels in seeing exactly what's in front of it. Sharingan users are masters of genjutsu not only because of the convenient doujutsu casting mechanism or the advanced chakra control, but because they can memorize and detect expressions and movements to the most minute detail. It's often used to copy taijutsu, ninjutsu and to mess with your mind. Now, this has been shown multiple times, especially with Itachi. Noticeably, he did this and was praised for it by Kabuto, his knack at reading people. I say noticeably because not only was it a big deal to be able to read an accomplished spy, plus it's one of the things that has been consistent with the Uchiha and Sharingan despite Kishi bein known to contradict himself a lot.

The Sharingan has a type of dual layered vision, regular eyesight that all Shinobi and beings have and then a Chakra/X-ray type vision, that overlap with one another to create the visual map Sharingan users have. Their ability to see chakra inside a solid non chakra infused object is related to the ability they have of focusing between each "vision". If you understand a bit of photography you can understand this as similar to focal points. If you focus on something near, you blur away whats far, and the other way around. If you translate that into the chakra VS normal light vision things, you can understand how it works a bit better. Its like looking at a glass. You can see the glass or focus to see past it. They can see chakra inside matter otherwise they wouldn't see chakra at all as chakra isn't something that goes flying around in the air. Its always (or almost) inside a medium, solid 90% of the time, like the human body. They see chakra inside something by unfocusing they normal vision (so to speajk) and focusing on the chakra part. Thats why most of the times, when it comes to tyring to find something hidden or something hard to find you often see them "ofucing" on their vision.

Thats why to negate their eye benefits, you need to negate both visions: you need something that will block their normal vision and something that will block their chakra vision. So, hidden mist. By being infused with the users chakra, if they look with their chakra vision, the only thing they see is chakra. If they look with their normal vision, all they see is mist. Thats why its used to block the sharingan. And thats how the sharingan should be blocked.

As for what and how far they can see through things, I think some key aspects play in this whole thing:

1. distance: Sharingan can see but they can't zoom or anything. They are simply normal eyes that can see chakra and details and what not. But they can't zoom or become microscopes or telescopes like the byakugan can.
2. type of medium: Something that wasn't created by chakra will always be easier to see through than something created by chakra, even if chakra is no longer there.
3. chakra "size": A person has more chakra than a technique, thus why I think finding someone is easier than finding something.

Now what does this translate to? I think they can see chakra inside a medium as long as its like half a meter to a few meters inside it. Further than that, no. Dust clouds, Wind barriers, etc. If you have them big enough, the enemy wouldn't be able to see you unless you are visible in normal eye sight.

So in essence with the third point you can see chakra 'densities'. Living things will always possess a much denser chakra as they have more. Building on this point can the Sharingan differentiate clones as clones can never be as intricate as living things or since clones are simply bodies of chakra the user of a Sharingan will see no difference. I do recall Madara being able to see through Hashirama's wood clones which were regarded as the most difficult to see through. Now was that because Madara was simply able to deduce this with his intelligence and Sharingan or because all Sharingan can do that?

With regards to distance that makes perfect sense. As do the mediums.

Well, in the RP, we treat it as just Madara talking lol. In the manga/anime, it may have been due to his advanced prowess with Sharingan, but currently no the Sharingan can't differentiate between clones as the chakra is divided evenly amongst each body, and the Sharingan would just see the gathering of chakra evenly divided.

Alright, on to review more advanced tracking means. Being able to track and copy movements proficiently and with ease, what can the Sharingan do in relation to other Ninjutsu used against the user? What about Taijutsu? What types of these movements can it and can't it track?

Alright, on to review more advanced tracking means. Being able to track and copy movements proficiently and with ease, what can the Sharingan do in relation to other Ninjutsu used against the user? What about Taijutsu? What types of these movements can it and can't it track?
So with regards to ninjutsu the Sharingan basically can reveal a technique to the user through many means. The first is the Sharingan can actually see the chakra being molded and the nature transformation applied to the technique. So this can give you hints to what nature the technique will be, be it fire, water, wind etc. We covered this earlier and discussed how this isn't entirely accurate given the presence of CEs and other advanced nature transformations but it is still useful information nonetheless. Taking it to the next step and enhancing the 2T's ability to read hand seals the Sharingan actually becomes capable of copying those hand seals and analyzing them perfectly. The 2T, to my understanding, is sort of a brutish and inaccurate analysis on hand seals while the 3T takes it to the next step and really polishes that and enhances it. Taking into account taijutsu movements and the Sharingan in regards to hand seals the Sharingan will be even able to predict hand seals as you can read the slightest muscle twitches and movements allowing you to predict what hand seal the opponent will follow up with actually allowing the user to see through a technique and predict that very technique. Of course this all means the opponent has to be using hand seals. There are techniques that require no hand seals at all that the Sharingan can only see the chakra being molded for it and nothing more. There's even a canon technique that allows us to copy ninjutsu used against us that requires hand seals and use it for the remainder of the battle. Which is an incredibly powerful ability in the RP as it can be used on custom techniques. Of course, those techniques must require hand seals and they must be seen with the Sharingan. So now onto taijutsu tracking. As you said before the Sharingan can see the ever so slightest movements in muscles and the tiniest twitches on a moving body. That in accordance with an Uchiha's naturally high ability to analyze quickly it becomes almost useless to use taijutsu against an Uchiha. Of course one still needs to account for the opponent's speed and if their speed is far superior to the user's own even if the user can track that speed one still may not be able to react to it accordingly. Overall with taijutsu there is very little that the Sharingan cannot see. It can analyze the slightest of movements within its range of tracking. On top of that the three tomoe grants the user the ability to see the afterimages and allows the user to predict based on that.

Well, I should first point out that we cannot with certainty discern what element is what. We can at best used our visual acuity to pick up the notable changes to the chakra system and determine which element it more closely resembles. For example, Fire chakra is, by nature, very hot therefore affecting the color pattern, causing it to appear similar to heat waves. Wind chakra consists of thin, sharp blades whereas Lightning chakra vibrates rapidly and erratically. Earth chakra, on the other hand, is very dense, which causes the chakra to appear dense and rigid, darkening the chakra's color. Water chakra moves in a freer motion than that of wind and lightning, resembling wave like patterns of chakra but in a different manner than Fire chakra does. This is the best we can determine what element they are using, but of course, things like CE or advanced natures are differently done because most consist of multiple elemental affinities, altering the way it looks.

In relation to Taijutsu, Sharingan users are only able to track taijutsu movements their tomoe can keep up with. As we broke down earlier, the Sharingan can track up to 6 times the basic speed of the user. The Sharingan has many different abilities, one of it's most notable and powerful abilities is also one of the most underused and underrated abilities in the RP. As shown by Madara and Sasuke at different intervals, the Sharingan is able to hypnotize a foe. While different to casting a Genjutsu on them, the two hold similarities. What all can you tell me about it's hypnotic abilities?

Understood.

So in regards the the Sharingan's hypnotic abilities these seem to be never used for a couple of reasons. Basically I compare this to almost freeform genjutsu in a way as you aren't actually using a move for this in our RP. But I'll get to the RP side of it after explaining it. The Sharingan is infamously dubbed the Copy Wheel Eye and part of its powers are that of hypnosis. When you make eye contact with someone who does not possess the Sharingan you can actually cause in a sense a type of hypnosis that can suggest things to their mind. This was seen first with Kakashi's usage on Zabuza and later as you mentioned by Sasuke and Madara in Part 2. The hypnotic abilities as I previously mentioned in a way suggest actions and thoughts to an opponent through these freeform genjutsu. It is what Kakashi did to make it so he could in a way see the future to the victim and mimic moves through the suggestion capabilities of the Sharingan.

Unfortunately it seems that in the RP this is a highly unused ability by Sharingan users. Which is very disappointing. Since it is freeform and requires eye contact most people have taijutsu mastered allowing them to simply avoid that. So it does make this type of hypnosis sadly underused.

Hypnosis is essentially tapping into the more primal levels of your mind. To explain, the mind is similar to an onion, with layers and layers of thoughts, emotions, feelings, etc. These layers are held together by the will of the person. This will can be manipulated and shut down through hypnosis, causing them to revert back to this primal sense of control. This can largely be done via Sharingan genjutsu, but on a smaller more specific scale, it can be done without genjutsu. It always requires eye contact and this contact must be sustained. Through this eye contact, you can alter how they see and perceive basic things, changing them to suit your needs. You can for example alter their perception of time, like when Kakashi fought Zabuza ( though, Zabuza performed the jutsu, Kakashi made it seem as if he was performing the seals at the same time, suggesting he could read his mind ), you can alter feelings and suggest words into their mind, which can make it seem as if you can read his mind. With this, you can play around and toy around with their mind, but you can never bend their mind to the point that you manipulate their free will or body. It's ideal for taijutsu means, altering their sense of time perception to make it appear as if you are attacking at the same time as he is. But the true usage of it comes from it's roleplaying aspects, roleplaying not as in Battling, but roleplaying as in character development and such lol. Like you can hypnotize them into feeling fear, anger, anxiety, etc etc, and from a RP standpoint, that's a pretty cool thing to make use of in a battle. Of course, there is a few limitations to this, namely the fact that you must maintain eye contact continously and the fact that it only works on targets 1 rank and lower from your rank, Sage being able to affect Unofficial Sages and so on and so forth.

Alright, makes sense. I do like the usage for character development. I feel most people have forgotten about that and lose sight of it so its something I'll definitely use in that regard. Now since most people will have basic taijutsu complete it will be somewhat tricky using this in battle against an opponent who is making sure to avoid eye contact. I'd overpower that, should I want to make use of the hypnosis or Sharingan genjutsu, by getting in for some close range combat and positioning their body in a way where it is impossible to avoid eye contact. Or do it a simple way and move so fast they can't see me but that would require leg weights or similar speed enhancers.

Alright, now we have undergone everything regarding the 3T sharingan and abilities of the Sharingan that we did not cover in the 2T training session. That being said, you have officially achieved 3T Sharingan. Before we continue, is there any other part that you would like to review?

Alright, now on to the Sharingan Genjutsu. While similar to regular Genjutsu, they are not the same as they are more powerful than most. Tell the differences between the two and what all you know about Sharingan Genjutsu.

Right, so as you said Sharingan genjutsu are quite a step up from regular genjutsu. But as the name implies the main and key difference here between the two is that Sharingan genjutsu require direct eye contact between the Sharingan wielder and the opponent. That is probably the key difference between the two. Of course there are a few Sharingan genjutsu that actually don't require eye contact but those are not the pinnacle of the Sharingan genjutsu (with the exception of Izanami and Kotoamatsukami).

Now all genjutsu is heavily based on Yin Release. All Genjutsu from the basic D-Rank variations to the most advanced S-Rank genjutsu. Yin Release being the spiritual energy of a living being. It isn't exactly an element per say but it is definitely in play heavily when it comes to Genjutsu and even more in play when it comes to Sharingan genjutsu. Now this is seen with the most basic of the Sharingan Genjutsu where the user can practically manipulate all five senses at once to do whatever they want with them. This becomes even more prevalent when you get to techniques such as Tsukuyomi where not only can you manipulate the five senses but you can also manipulate how the victim perceives the passing of time. What becomes 3 weeks in the genjutsu of Tsukuyomi can be 1 weeks in reality. Of course the most obvious user of this is Itachi who effortlessly manipulated these senses in Tsukuyomi.

Sharingan Genjutsus are certainly powerful, that much is clear. But all of them do not require eye contact, those most do. The way this is theorized to work is that with regular genjutsu, one must generally form handseals to initiate the Genjutsu, molding the chakra for this illusion through the seals. The mediums for genjutsu differ greatly, a large portion of them being visually triggered, such as looking at the user or a specific object. Some others are triggered through hearing a sound ( Namely Sound Genjutsu ), and even others are triggered through sense of Smell, Touch, and Lili has even tried to extend this to the sense of Taste with her submitted CC. With most Sharingan Genjutsus, this medium is Visual, requiring the user to be able to cast a genjutsu through eye contact alone, however not all do this. A specific one that doesn't require eye contact would be (Doujutsu: Shiranui) - Eye Technique: Phosphorescent light. This one is triggered by having a line of vision with the target, being able to physically see him.

Sharingan is able to pierce through Visual Genjutsus as well as reverse other genjutsus cast upon the user. Starting with the first, Visual Genjutsus, are genjutsus that take on a Visual trait primarily. This means that Genjutsus that primarily are used to alter your sense of sight and what you are able to Visually interpret are considered Visual Genjutsus. Sharingans are able to break through this visual illusion with ease, due to their natural "piercing" abilities, allowing the user to see through it. How this is achieved isn't an exact science but we reason it to be along the lines of simply focusing your vision once you have reasoned it is an illusion and piercing through it with ease, an instinctive and relatively quick process, taking next to no time in the timeframe and being passively achieved. However, this is only viable for Visual Genjutsus. As for other Genjutsus that plague the mind, should you reason it to be a Genjutsu, you are able to reverse the genjutsu itself, though we will touch on this in greater detail later. Also, note my point about casting Genjutsu through the Sharingan above, it doesn't increase the range.

Questions? It's best if you do as this is part of the most abused parts of the Sharingan in the RP.
