How strong would Obito have been without Hashiroids?

He'd get blind faster, but that doesn't mean his strength is any different.
Kamui is his strength.

Blind (which he most definitely would be) = no Kamui

His strength would have greatly been effected.

He'd be dead without his Hashiroids regardless.

Lol, true. I probably should have worded my thread different.

Same strength, but using Kamui would be too chakra consuming and it would be limited. He'd most likely bleed from his eyes etc. By the time of the war he would already be going blind.

How would he be the same when obito would be sufferring the drawbacks of using his MS?

Never said he'd be the same overall, just the same strength. MS drawback doesn't make your MS powers weaker, so there is no reason Obito would be weaker.

Yeah, he'd be more limited in what he could do, and how many times he could do it, but he'd be no weaker.

It doesnt make ur MS powers weaker
but it still decreases ur speed reflexes etc, due to the strain in the body/eyes
the OP asks about obito as a whole
not just his kamui

Obito not being able to use his powers to the full potential, means that he still gets weaker,
bcz then it would be like saying that edo itachi is just as powerful as sick itachi,

He would of had to learn a different style of fighting that didn't hinge on kamui.

Withouth hashiroids he can solo hashirama neg diff before going blind, assuming his eyes are 100% or atleast 50% condition at the start of the battle.

Probably would've died @ Kyuubi attack due to damage, but if he survived he would've died to Torune with the poison bugs provided he wasn't blind. Although if I remember correctly he could use Kamui to some degree with three tomoe? But then in the war it was always shown as MS when it was revealed as an MS..? :|

Even with Hashiroids Hashirama takes a dump on him.

Considering the fact that susanoo [a much more powerful MS jutsu] can still be maintained consistently by MS users, kamui shouldn't cause anything near or worse than that level of pain.

Obviously however, over time his eyesight would probably degrade to the point where he would most likely be blind or close to it from his attack on the village to the events of the war.

Sasuke was already going blind from like 10 minutes of Susano + a few MS techniques.

Sasuke is a terrible example of how to properly utilize your new mangekyou techniques. [ ]

He constantly had susanoo active & was upgrading it consistently during his fights. Itachi on the other hand awakened all three of his MS jutsus at 13 & kept his eyesight all the way until he was 21, he would be a great example of how to utilize your MS techniques.

I imagine obito would be even better than itachi in terms of maintaining his eyesight because he had madara's tutelage, only one MS eye, & a MS jutsu that costs less than susanoo does.

You do have a point, but Obito does use his Kamui A LOT. Even as a Juubi jin he said not being able to use intangability was irritating since he was so used to it.

There's no doubt that not having the cells would have taken a toll on his overall strength.

Yeah I agree, his fighting style would be different since he cant just rely on kamui for nearly everything. The eye strain would slow down his movements & make it harder to fight in general.

However without kamui to help him with everything he probably would've improved his base skills, so it's a bit hard to judge his overall strength if he never had dna to begin with.

Kakashi was able to spam Kamui without going blind for quite a long time. Obito would be able to do that as well, because it seems Kamui isn't as taxing as Amaterasu or Tsukiyomi.
