This is, for some reason, a debate. Some people believe that to retrieve the third eye, the RinneSharingan, all you need is Hagoromo's chakra and to get close to the moon. Then, there are others who believe you must be the host of the ten-tails/Holy Tree. Which do you believe and why?

You're just plain denying it now. The manga doesn't explain what the power of transmigration is, so why do you say the Rinnegan grants it? The Rinnegan allows you a unique ability, and access to the Six Paths. None of those paths are the "power of transmigration."

Hugohomo has transmigration power because transmigration power is only 50% each of hugohomo's. And hugohomo never had third eye. Base on manga and logic, it takes 100% + gedoz + lots of luck to get third eye.

Having Hagos chakra combined from Indra and Ashuras just gives you the Rinnegan, not the RinneSharingan that Kaguya had. I think you need the Shinju absorbed as well as Hagos chakra.

i'm pretty sure if you have the rennigan, both rennigans, you can unlock it. hogoromo did have that third eye tattoo thing, which could have been a seal. it seams he had that his whole life, even when he was an infant. also, since awakening that eye is probably equivalent to awakening kaguya. probably you need both the rennigan and the shinju as that would make the most sense. so you need bothe the power of the rennigan and the power of the shinju.

Obito stated that the only reason he was able to grant Kakashi chakra was because they had a close connection. He can't just do it to anyone.
