"Monster" Anime

Wow, I just started this show and it's nothing short of amazing. Possibly has the best written villain in anime fiction.

It is a bit slow and may not be for everyone, but it is definitely a 10/10 anime for me.

Haven't been this moved by anime since the Samurai X OVA



Anyone else watch it? If not, I highly recommend trying it.

Yea 10/10 anime/manga, Johan is definitely one of the best villains ever.

I have and I thought it was great. The ending is solid and makes you think quite a bit. I do believe that a series like this it not for everyone. It has a very different pacing compared to that of these shounen series.

Johan is a wonderful name. Most people here wouldn't appreciate Monster, since there isn't no stop action and explosions. Definitely a thinking man's anime

Anyone who knows shit about anime agrees that Johan Liebert is the best villain of all-time, point blank, only rivaled by the Joker (yes, I know he's an American comic book villain, but he's the only villain in all of fiction, to my knowledge, that comes to mind who is actually in the same league as Johan).

Everyone who hasn't seen Monster should go and watch it now that Naruto is over. It's up there with the masterpiece that is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood in story, consistency, characters and overall quality.

Not gonna read the comments due to potential spoilers but yeah, I've also been watching this I am on episode 27 now, it's very interesting, definitely one of the more interesting and realistic anime's I've seen (even thus far), Lunge is a badass.

The middle drags a bit, so be ready for that. Johan gets even better towards the last half and Lunge, well I guess that's a spoiler
