Reading the *********** version of the epilogue, There will not only be a part 3, but a bunch of side stories as well!
That being said, I think that this would be a great idea as well. Much like Marvel's "What If's!", Shonen should do the same thing with Naruto as well. Here are some ideas!
1. An alternate ending to the manga:
Pairings:
One where Naruto ends up marrying and having children with Sakura instead of Hinata. Sasuke ends up marrying and having children with Karin instead of Sakura.
Ino ends up with someone else instead of Sai. Same goes for Choji. Shikamaru and Temari are married and have a kid as already shown. Mei Terumi (Fifth Mizukage) gets married rather than remaining single.
Kids of the alternate ending pairings being shown. Sasuke and Karin's child or children both being shown with the Rinnegan. Naruto and Sakura's children having blond hair and green eyes and whiskers like Naruto at least one out of the two having a big forehead like Sakura.
OR
One where Naruto ends up with Hinata as already shown. Sakura ends up with Lee and Sasuke ends up with Karin. Kids of the alternate pairings are shown in epilogue.
Everything else (Stuff that I feel was most important):
More panels of Neji's funeral along with more references to Jiraiya, Minato, Kushina and Obito rather than no references at all like what we got. Showing the ceremonies of Kakashi and Naruto becoming the Sixth and Seventh Hokages.
Killer B being shown as the Raikage instead of Darui.
Orochimaru and Kabuto as well as a few other characters making a final appearance in the last two chapters instead of no appearance at all like what we got (With the exception of IT being dispelled in 699 of course).
Same goes for the tailed beasts, Naruto and the other tailed beasts bid each other a final farewell or something along the lines of that.
Kuruma and Naruto have one last interaction in both chapters. The first part would be with Naruto and Kurama talking about how their relationship with one another has evolved over the years and the second part being Kuruma commenting on how Naruto's son was just like him at one point.
The third and final part of the alternate ending being after the Gokage Summit showing Kuruma and Naruto again talking about a few memorable moments they had, followed by the Hokage monument panel and then the final page that we got.
2. A Gaiden of how Kaguya came to be! Her backstory and all along with a what if:
Where did Kaguya come from.
If consuming the fruit of the Holy Tree was her motive all along or not? If not, then what drove her to consume the fruit?
Who was her husband I.E. Hagoromo and Hamura's father. (Presuming if Kaguya had a husband at all that is). If his death was the cause or played a role in Kaguya consuming the Shinju Fruit. Or if he ate some of the fruit as well and then died somehow later on? Maybe by Hagoromo and Hamura and that would be one of the reasons why Kaguya became the Juubi?
If she ever truly loved her children to begin with.
Why she ended up going insane and using the IT.
What she was like before she became consumed by her power as well as what she was like before she ate the Shinju Fruit.
As for the what if: Rather than being sealed, Naruto managed to TNJ Kaguya like how he did with Obito, thus bringing Kaguya to the side of light. Kaguya lets go of Madara and has one final conversation with Hagoromo and apologizes to him and says that she is proud of him and both of them depart for elsewhere.
3. A Gaiden on Hagoromo and Hamura: A sequel to the Kaguya gaiden.
If they ran away from their mother when they were teenagers and eventually spread Ninshuu to everyone shortly afterwards.
What happened to Hamura after the fight against the Juubi.
If Hagoromo and Hamura fought after the fight against the Juubi.
If Hamura is either alive or dead.
4. The Uzumaki Clan's Origins and Extinction.
How they came to be and when.
Who wiped them out? Was it the Uchiha who did so?
Explaining how and why the Uzumaki's didn't stick together and instead scattered and split apart. Example being Karin from another Shinobi country and Nagato being from a different country as well.
5. The other Transmigrants of Ashura and Indra: Before Hashirama and Madara.
Who were they?
What their backstories were.
If they were either weaker or stronger than Hashirama and Madara.
So those are the big five that I would love to see. Since we are already getting a backstory of Kakashi, I hope I get to see some of what I came up with as well.
