if i understand this correctly kakashi will traveling around all places he had been before which gave him good memorizes.
To me this sounds like a journey to collect creativity for some books like jiraya.
I hope in the mini part about the new generation kakashi will play a role in protecting the little kids randomly on a dangerous mission or sth like that.

I can see what you're saying, but I don't really think so. Jiraiya was traveling for intel, trying to find different people, etc. Kakashi just seems to be going on a sight seeing trip with his buddy.

Kakashi said asumas kid showed he is a fine successor and after that he said he will go traveling around old places of the past.
To me this sounds like some creative work or he is collecting all knowledge he made and write it down for the next generation.
I can also imagine that he maybe continue the training of asumas son teaching him a few moves.
I can see the picture how he will wander through countries with his dogs, maybe he becomes a dog sage or sth like that.
