The end of the Main Naruto series is here, and even
with the “New Era” Project picking up sometime next
year, the many different manga artists and creators
at Weekly Shonen Jump had statements for
Kishimoto and the fans regarding the long running
manga’s end.
Below you can see a few Mangaka like Eiichiro Oda
(One Piece) and Yusei Matsui (Assassination
Classroom) pay their respects. (Keep in mind that
these are rough translations from a Chinese source.
When the Japanese scans become available, so will
better translations, and even more comments.)
Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto): Final words, although
i’m very happy, there’s still some complicated
sadness (Complicated over Neji). I’d like to thank the
readers for all of their love and support, thank you!
Yusei Matsui (Assassination Classroom): This work’s
great journey comes to an end. I honor Mr.
Kishimoto, it is tough!
Yuji Kimura (Garden): This should come with a
wreath on the cover to commermorate Naruto, to let
us leave our reflections behind.
Eiichiro Oda (One Piece): Both my Rival and Friend!
Fifteen years in serialization together with me. Really,
thank you Mr. Kishimoto for your hard work!
Horikoshi Kohei (My Hero Academy): Naruto is my
youth! Yeah! One of the best Shonen comics, really,
thanks!
Hideaki Sorachi (Gintama): Ninja leave on the
occasion, but still, like the wind, Mr. Kishimoto rings
to the occasion. (Uses Naruto as a pun on ringing)
Aso Monday (The Disaster of PSI Kusuo Saiki): Mr.
Kishimoto really must be praised for this ending, its
tough!
Mitsutoshi Shimbukuro (Toriko): Oh! Kishimoto -
Sensei! 15 years in serialization is hard! Thank you,
Naruto!
