Lol I am pretty sure it was going to be like Obito's regardless. Obito is literally an "Uchiha Naruto". Same hair, pretty much same past, same team dynamics, both dead last, both orphaned, both had crushes on the female team mate, etc, etc.

I wish Kishi just kept it the way current Naruto has it or just a little shorter like Yahiko. It's too damn short for Naruto and doesn't look good on him.
