How is the Last canon?

Ok so since we've seen all these spoilers from chapter 700, I couldn't help but have one question. How is the movie canon after this? Naruto and the fodder Hyuuga don't seem to be together in the movie. Is the movie taking place between the current events in the manga and the events in 700? I doubt it since Naruto looks pretty mature in the movie already. What are your thoughts?

It's been clear for awhile now that The Last takes place between ch. 699 and 700. Kishimoto himself stated that it's connected to the manga. It will explain why Naruto and Hinata are together in ch. 700.

If it ain't drawn in the manga first its not canon.

It's an addition of the story, which he believes to be true.
He never said the game characters were true.

^^^^this and Kishimoto said recently that he has connected the movie in every way to the story. (Even without saying it, it is canon unless the author says it is not. In this case, the author has actually said it is.)

NH is canon in the epilogue.I know you dont like NaruHina but unfotunately for you trying to force yourself into thinking the movie isnt canon wont help because the manga is ending with NH and SS
