So i'm gonna tell you guys a story. Long ago, there was a website called Dota Allstarts . com
It was a place where players of the original defense of the ancients discussed games, strategies, ideas for hero's games, etc.
It was considered to be one of the most positive forums of all time. Honestly look it up. The community was HUGE (not like narutobase with limited registration periods etc)
The admin of the site (not the runner of the dota game, who was at the time "icefrog") was named "Pendragon". Some of the League of legends players probably just perked their ears.
He got called to an interview with someone, although it wasn't clear what for.
He had meetings with this shadow company and then one day posted "the forum is going down for a week and will be back up after i move all of the files to another location".
Then would you like to know what he did? He replaced the website to an advertisement for the new game he was moving to: League of legends. It was speculated for years that he stole ideas from the "spell, character, and item suggestions" forums.
It wasn't till 3 years later he put up the archives from the site and said (and i quote) "Well fúck you too" to the dota community.
If you look now, you can see the ideas for heros (like teemo) spells, and all sorts of things implemented in League of legends were completely ripped from some of the dotaallstars forum.
Imagine if one day, Versuvio shut down narutobase for a week, promising to put it back up later, but then replaced it with an ad for a site for another manga.
Seriously. Thats messed up. "hey dota guys, as your trusted website admin, i now take down the website that you all helped create and made a wonderful community to replace it with an ad for a game that i'm making thats stealing all of the ideas from YOUR game.
Next to the word "sell-out" in the dictionary, is a picture of Pendragon's big fat stupid face.
