Why does Gaara's father get black rings around his eyes, when he activates his magnet release?
Gaara has them as well, but he, Gaara, always has them around his eyes.
His father only gets them when he activates the magnet release.
Toroi, a magnet release user from Kumo, does not get such rings around his eyes.
So it is not necessarily a magnet release feature.
Maybe Gaara's father his father or mother, was a Shukaku jinchuriki and therefore he inherited those black rings around his eyes? Shukaku has magnet release, so its safe to say that Gaara has it too.
Gaara was the first of his siblings to be compatible with Shukaku.
This compatibility is probably the Magnet release.
