The manga would be contradicting that. Yahiko died 25-30 approx according to Chouji; and Yahiko died during the 3rd Shinobi War. By the timeline of Nagato's death, 18 years have passed from the war to Pain arc, if you look at Obito's and Kakashi's by that. Thus, Konan and Nagato would have to be in their 40s.​

By the timeline of Nagato's death, 18 years have passed from the war to Pain arc, if you look at Obito's and Kakashi's by that. Thus, Konan and Nagato would have to be in their 40s.​

The databook is full of contradictions though, so I wouldn't put too much stock in every small detail. I mean, we're supposed to believe that Kaguya was sealed by the Six paths chibaku tensei.(by Hagaromo/Hamura). If that's the case, when was Hagaromo the juubi jin?(with the gedo mazo inside of him.) Lol

No...the third Shinobi world war took place around a decade prior to the start of the series. Also, if ye were in their 40s, Jiraiya would've been 14 when he trained them. Also, about 16 years passed, considering Minato hadn't been hokage for a log time, and the war continued for some time after Obito died, not to mention, Choji was likely just wrong with his estimate. Yahiko was likely 19 when he died.

That would be the manga contradicting itself, not the data book contradicting the manga.
