Modern anime fans tend to not give two shits about it, it's just a bunch of yelling and defeating whatever villain comes to earth.

It doesn't even look cool and the characters are absolutely flat and one dimensional, not to mention that their is almost no emotion going on especially since if you die there's always a way back.

First off, DBZ doesn't have a multiverse (not by any standard definition of multiverse). Second, the DBZ map of earth clearly displays different continental structure. Third, drama actually makes a series good, unless you're 10 and only want fights with no plot.
