She is shitty because we never got to know her backstory. Nor did we get to know why she was brainless in that whole fight. Going by the manga she did seem a bit shitty. But I will hold my judgement till I see this movie. And see where this development of the final villain goes. If he has anything to do with her, than its possible for us to unearth few reasons why she was the way she was.

She had no personality, no unique moves, barely any dialogue, pathetic performance, retarded ambitions,and her existence ruined Madara's and Zetsu's characters.

her design and appearance is also pretty epic, so I wouldn't say that but it is ture besides what I wrote.

I would go as far to say that I would handle whole Ootsutsuki backtory a log better then Kishi, especially Kaguya and Hagoromo.

Expecting a villain who is hyped up to be stronger than even the Rikudo Sennin himself and who ends up double crossing even Madara himself to be a well written character is not a bizzare claim It's not my fault that Kishimoto decided to half ass the entire situation . It was a completely logical assumption.

OT: I would expect Hinata to improve significantly over the span of this next time skip but with Kishi you never know. He didn't do Naruto justice in the 3 years between part 1 and part 2 so who knows.

Kishi not showing Sasuke's emotions till the last second was bad writing itself.

Honestly, I know kaguya is meant to be nothing more than a movie tie in for THE LAST, but it still could have been done without her presence. We could have simply had Madara do everything Kaguya did, get sealed up by Sasuke and NAruto, and then have Toneki be Hagoromo's dad and nothing more.

Her character is literally pointless.
