X_X I'm going to be honest.. what led me to make this thread is annoyance. When people don't bother giving a reason, but insult others (not insult me, but another member). Without understand the logic in the manga itself.
And note this isn't about "oh what fans think is the strongest character".. no.
Misconception/clarification:
1. Manga's strongest =/= Strongest according to the fans. Some fans think that what they decide who the strongest is from feats, is also the strongest in the manga.. No. Manga has no care to showing feats solely on screen. Only fans care for who has the better feats, try to judge who is the stronger one. However that does not mean that Manga doesn't care for feats. Those who are determined as the "strongest" or anything like that are given that name based on their feats. Because they aren't shown to us doesn't = they do not exist.
2. People love talking about feats.. however wanking on feats is only applicable when you are talking about a VS Thread (fanmade scenario). Characters only show feats if they are put in a specific situation. If they are never in a situation to deal with a specific jutsu, why the hell do you expect them to show feats to deal with it?
. If a character has never been shown to face genjutsu.. how the hell do you expect them to show feats to deal with a genjutsu user?
3. My usage of the word "feats" when i talk about feats vs featless = their accopmlishments and etc in the manga
What some fans seems to use the word "feats" as whats shown on screen.
Point of the thread:
There is this fear of Tsunade being the strongest = everything gone hell. However, question always is why? I sure don't recall Jiraiya or orochimaru having the ability to heal hundreds of people. I also don't recall, any of the other Sanin being as accomplished shinobi as Tsunade... So why do people automatically get their feelings hurt?
Some would love to mention "feats", she has less feats.. to deal with Jiraiya/Orochimaru. Ok thats nice.. however, she was superior to them in the past.. If they gained new techs tsunade doesn't know of, Tsunade also gained new stuff they don't know of.
Now to prove why shes the strongest of her generation:
Hokage:
Every single Hokage has been the strongest of his/her generation.
Hashirama = strongest of his
Tobirama = strongest of his
Hiruzen = strongest of his
Minato = strongest of his
Kakashi = strongest of his (no gai is not stronger than Kakashi, except if he uses the 8th gate, which is basically calling for his own death)
NOTE: I stated generation, not era.
Yet there seems to be an issue when saying "Tsunade = strongest of her".... Yet in the manga strongest of the generation has been named Hokage.
(If you wanna demote this law in the manga, i would suggest using this and trying to prove this wrong. Instead of saying trying to pull in some other hype that has no logical connection to this. )
Only got it because others refused:
"Tsunade only got the title because Jiraiya didn't want it" "Only got the title because Orochimaru was evil".
Some peeps just need to realize, it was Konoha who came begging for Tsunade to be Hokage.. she didn't go to konoha and say "heyyy Jiraiya doesn't wanna be Hokage, so hey i can step in".. no. They came to her and asked her to be Hokage.
Jiraiya is irrelevant to this whole stuff when he himself admit that Tsunade would be better than him as Hokage. People seem to think, this is him taking pitty on Tsunade or playing an excuse to leave. UH NO. Tsunade hadn't been in the village for over 20 years. SHE DIDN'T EVEN CARE FOR THE HOKAGE TITLE until Naruto.....
She only became Hokage because of Naruto Uzumaki's conviction. Thats all.
Everytime someone uses this excuse, i'm just like:
Most accomplished:
People tend to forget that out of all the people in her generation.. she is the most accomplished.
- Created a new ninja branch/system, followed throughout the ninja world. <<< This by itself is above anything Jiraiya or orochimaru have accomplished.
- Unsurpassed in medical knowledge (Don't recall any other Sanin being unsurpassed in something)
- The best person in poison making and countering
Choosing your own opinion over a character's in regards to their combat ability:
Jiraiya has already admit inferiority to TSunade when it comes to combat... I don't get why people think its fine to completely ignore it, when it comes to talking about in-manga .
So if Jiraiya with knowing his power admits that hes inferior to her in regards to battle.. then why do fans keep on trying to make him above her?.. Oh waitt, because he has more on screen "feats"..
Conclusion:
So people, she is the strongest of her generation... And her title of Hokage is a proof to that. Hokage title is gained through feats, so its not some "featless hype".
