Since the movie is confirmed to be canon what are you going to do then ? Are you first going to finish the anime before watching it or are you just going to watch it before you finish the anime? I'm confused !!!!

Kishi said to finish the manga first. Who cares about where the anime is? He doesn't even care

I read the manga. That's good enough. The reason Kishimoto said to be caught up in the manga is, I think, a warning. The movie will probably have lots of stuff in it that will be a surprise if you haven't reached the end of the story. Now that he has said that, people won't have to be surprised to see surprises in it if they decide to see the movie without catching up.

I don't understand why so many ****s are given about a fanservice movie. I'm more looking forward to the canon ending which will be in the manga...

Kishimoto said that this movie will be specifically for those who have finished the manga, so either you catch up with the manga or continue to annoy everyone with the "Don't talk about things that happened for the past 2 years, because of the anime is so slow!" mentality.

I doubt he means to say that his movie is not for everyone, or to put down people who aren't caught up. That's rather a cynical interpretation.
