That doesn't mean it won and no her whole character doesn't revolve Naruto, it also revolve the issues in the Hyuuga clan and he becoming a stronger person. When we first see Naruto he's all about liking Sakura, having a rival with Sasuke, becoming Hokage. He still cares for Sakura in a romantic way yet you think he's going to move on from Sakura instead of Sakura moving on from Sasuke and going with Naruto.

NaruHina wasn't even a possibilty until the last, Hinata talked to Naruto like 6 different times in actual conversation, would stalk him then faint in Shippuden first half and wasn't even there for him for big events where as Sakura was such as saving Gaara arc, chasing Sasuke, and Jiraiya's death.

He said the same for Neji too^^ also Sakura was by his side for much more things and he trust her a great deal. She was the first K11 he told he was a Jinchuuriki which Sakura reflected on how sad a past Naruto had and even wanted to try and learn Yamato's jutsu that reverts Naruto back to normal from the tail mode just to help him which is when Yamato said how much Sakura truly cares for Naruto. Sakura knows the pain Naruto feels for wanting to save Sasuke, been there when Naruto found out Jiraiya died, shows that she believes in Naruto's strength when Tobi kicks Naruto into a pond which made Hinata panic that Naruto might be hurt and Sakura tells her it would take more than that to take Naruto down and she shouldn't take her eyes off the enemy.

Kishi is always using misdirections in the manga so what makes you think he would leave hints pointing to Hinata without clear evidences?
