Re: Naruto & Sasuke settled their issues, why can't the fanbase follow their footstep
The real reason we can't just resolve our issues is because we don't have the same issues as Naruto and Sasuke. Naruto fans don't care if Aasuke grts saved and Sasuke fans don't care if Naruto gets killed. All we wanted was for our favorite character to win. We knew it would end peacefully but we want a clear winner. This waiting till they were both tired out before one admitted loss is the cause of all this confusion. Still counts as Naruto's victory but since intent to kill was absent, it doesn't satisfy the question we asked. This fight failed to portray who would win in an all out full strength kill match like the HashiMada fight did so we are left to form our own opinions about that, which would never be conclusive because it never happened in the manga and never will.
Naruto fan base has this: Sasuke is not strong enough to kill Naruto in a fight where Naruto doesn't even start at full strength and Sasuke has Bijuu
What Kishi refused to portray was that Naruto could kill Sasuke if he wanted to from the very start and till the very end so the Sasuke fans can argue that Naruto cannot kill Sasuke either and it is a draw, ignoring the fact that it was never Naruto's goal in the first place.
They would basically say that because Naruto killing Sasuke never happened, that it can never happen even if Naruto wanted to or the battle conditions were different. That is like saying that because you would never jump of a cliff, jumping off a cliff is physically incapable of killing you. Because Naruto didn't kill Sasuke, didn't want to kill Sasuke, they say Naruto cannot kill Sasuke if he wanted to and they say 'Draw!'
However, if it was a kill match, it wont be a draw. Somebody would have had to kill someone and since Sasuke failed to kill Naruto when he desperately wanted to, we can only conclude that Naruto would have killed Sasuke if he had the same desperate desire to do so.
Naruto's willpower was stronger(Sasuke admitted defeat and fell in line with Naruto's will) and if that will was directed towards murder and not redemption, would it not have accomplished it?
That is a question only a Naruto fan would ask and a Sasuke fan would never answer.
Naruto won. He accomplished what he wanted; to save Sasuke. But since he never wanted what his fans did, to kill Sasuke or at least to explicitly so that he could, he never did that.
But he did at least show that Sasuke cannot kill him even with all the Bijuu in the world. Means Naruto dictated the terms of the fight and won on those terms. But since Naruto vs Sasuke was never directly addressed on Naruto's part, the question was never settled. It will always be one of the loose ends in the series which can be debated about for eons.
What we know about Naruto vs Sasuke is that it can never end with Sasuke beating and killing Naruto. Because Sasuke was never strong enough to do so even with Bijuu power.
Sadly it can also never end with Naruto killing Sasuke as Naruto has never wanted to. This is the nagging question. Would it have ended with Sasuke's death if Naruto had wanted it to?
For me, it would have since the fight went as Naruto wanted. Not as Sasuke did. So Naruto determines the outcome and it goes the way he wants.
