I did continue to read. I'm not seeing your point. I'm simply taking the protagonists stance on this.

If you want I can argue that the battle was a tie, which it most obviously was. I'm not sure if I can find a more perfect description of a tie than the final image in the last chapter.

The battle of ideals however Sasuke has lost in, and if Sasuke ever loses his way again Naruto will bring him back.
