His S/T jutsu is not taking madara down when he can escape with his limbo, and cover himself with his limbo clones as well, or he can simply block himself with susanoo or TSB
not to mention that once PS comes out, the S/T would be moot since sasuke would also have to protect himself with susanoo in-order to fight madara,

furthermore sasuke admitted his inferiority to madara at that point of time,
ill go by the manga and by sasukes words and say that he loses this
