Why does Sasuke still look so bitter/cold in The Last? He has no reason to be that way anymore. What could possibly happen between now and then to make him revert to that demeanor again?

Callin it now, he expected Sakura to be a fall back girl and she rejects him, and then his extreme fallback escape plan, Karin , shuts him down aswell.

Just take Gaara as an example of someone who never smiles, but has good intentions.
