Naruto was refraining from doing enough damage to kill sasuke the only reason they are both laying next to each other is because Naruto wants to bring sasuke home that's why sasuke is still breathing

It wouldn't matter much. Yeah, there may be a higher chance of Naruto winning. But they both used their strongest attacks (Compressed TBRS/Indra's Arrow) and end up canceling each other out.

Besides, him not killing Sasuke is probably the best result. Even if he won via killing, he lost because he couldn't keep his promise. So I think the direction this chapter went was more meaningful.

He basically repeated the same things Naruto said to him at the Kage Summit.

So, you are not agreeing with Naruto that he wouldn't have been able to beat Sasuke?

Yea I will admit Naruto couldn't beat sasuke then because Naruto had a goal if he fought sasuke back then they would have both died which IMO would mean Naruto lost because he didn't reach his goal

Wanting to do something and can do something is two different things... Sasuke didn't want to fight anymore because he had already agreed to accept Naruto's ways and ideals.. Even if Sasuke wanted to continue fighting, he couldn't so it's pointless.
