Can you read? I'm saying he had to deactivate it, there is no way he was so exhausted that sharingan would deactivate itself if he had enough chakra to make an amaterasu chidori

As Bee said, Naruto learn in 'practical way', ie during actual battle.
He tested his new power on Gai & Kakashi.
Sasuke were too confident about his new power, this he failed.
'Winning, loosing, it does not matter' Naruto had said this before.
In this end, it was a "Win-Win" situation.
Sasuke just closed his rinnegan eye, not enough of chakra; as he use his sharingan eye to see.

Using sharingan AND a kagutsuchi chidori in his state would have been impossible.
