The name of the mystery man in The Last: Naruto the Movie has been revealed! His name is Toneri Otsutsuki, and as you may have guessed, he is from the same bloodline as the Sage of Six Paths (Hagoromo) and Kaguya! As we deduced last week, the 49th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine confirms Toneri will be the antagonist behind the moon’s collision course with Earth. He will be voice by Japanese voice actor and singer Jun Fukuyama, who mentions he was shocked to hear the epic work of Naruto is coming to its finale. Scenes of him, Naruto, Sakura, Sai, Shikamaru, and Hinata can be seen in the scan below.
Those who see the Last: Naruto the Movie in Japanese theaters will receive a bonus limited edition official movie book, Naruto Hiden Retsu no Sho. The book, which will be a spin-off to the Naruto: The Official Character Data Book series, will contain a manga drawn exclusively for the movie by Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto. Weekly Shonen Jump teases the back of the book will feature a mysterious illustration.
A new trailer for the The Last: Naruto the Movie, with Toneri, Hanabi, Naruto, and others, will begin to play in Japanese theaters this Saturday. A book version of the movie is scheduled for release on December 8th, two days after the movie’s theatrical debut.
