cp is illegal because it's without the child's consent because it hurts them, not because people think it's weird (that could led to a slippery slope.
lolicon doesn't hurt anybody so it doesnt make sense for it to be banned
As for ecchi being considered cp, that's just bullshit
mainstream media in general is complete bs, they don't cover important issues like corruption in the government or the war on drugs or police brutality.

OT: None the less.. mangas do need a rating system...... Furthermore, the issue isn't the manga itself, its that kids read those mangas also......
But i also get their point about kids in the manga used for sexual stuff..... its understandable. Nothing to be surprised about. But i only read , One piece/Naruto/Bleach, XD

No ! Manga and anime are rated and it has its own known genres (if kids stay away from ecchi ,hentai ,yaoi ,yuri,shounin ai shoujo ai,smut etc.They will be ok)
Something that bothers me is people (mostly parents) Assume anything for kids as long its animated .
ITS NOT! And not all anime is hentai either (i have seen lots of peole judging all animes once they see 1 or 2 hentai)
