cuse me, but i don't want to read all these threads to see if this was discussed before, but i would think naruto would counter sasuke's preta path ability with sage mode right? sage mode can't be absorbed like ninjutsu, which we found out from the fight with pein. Naruto knows peins abilities rinnegan well, and obito's as well. If he loses to sasuke now, it would be dumb. plus he doesn't need chakra to do sage mode...unless I'm missing something, then that would be the logical technique to use next.

SM requires a large amount of chakra to balance it. It'd be counter-productive otherwise. Also, Sasuke can handle Senjutsu, I am sure that if Pein was Edo state Nagato he wouldn't turn to stone as it isn't a dead body with 1/7 of his concentration and 1/7 of his chakra.

Well I guess we'll see next chapter if he is out of chakra or not. I personally think he will use sage mode. if sasuke can still use his left eye after saying he basically couldn't use it, i don't see why something like that can't happen for naruto.
