History:
One morning before the coming spring, a baby girl was born into the a family in The Land of Iron. However, this newborn child had bright brown eyes, something unheard of in a family with blue eyes. It was clear from the moment this new life was brought into the world they called home, she was special. Little did they know just how special she really was. Some saw her coloring as a sign of leadership and worshipped the child altogether. Her parents on the other hand, had faith that she was nothing less than a gift from the heavens.
To say the child was a prodigy would be an understatement. She quickly developed, learning how to walk by six months of age, and talk by the age of one year. It wasn’t long before she learned to read, shortly after her second birthday in fact, and soon after have intelligent conversations with adults and be generally understood. To them, the child was a genius, even if she was born into a family of highly respectable samurai.
Only a few years later would her parents introduce her to the samurai arts. This was probably the most defiant days of her life, as she learned everything at the samurai academy with ease, but absolutely hated the idea of unnecessary violence.Asuna couldn’t understand why her people relied so strongly on war to solve all their problems. She believed that there was a much simpler way to resolve things, through speech alone. If only they had the knowledge she did. Then maybe all these ignorant people would rethink their ways. That’s what she thought. But it was no use she had to accept the world as it was. She was but one and they were many. She couldn’t hope to change the world by will alone, she had to act.
Her future was bright. She graduated from the academy at the age of nine, and was already practicing advanced taijutsu. She was honestly surprised that such violent people had such a considerate art, but was open to learning nonetheless. Learning was just something she was good at. And with her high marks at the academy, the people of her village finally began to respect her existence. She was quickly assigned to a team, although her role was that of support rather than combat.
