Sasuke proved that you can summon from another dimension when he summoned his flying mount while in the lava dimension. The Gedo Mazou can be summoned by a rinnegan-bearer.
So... this means there is still a risk that Kaguya can still come back. Sasuke doesn't want her to return, so he's not going to do it. But there are the risks:
1. If Sasuke goes insane and summons it.
2. If he gets tired and the rinnegan becomes hard to control.
3. If his rinnegan becomes a coveted artifact and someone acquires it and foolishly summons the Gedo Mazou.
4. If Madara's eyes aren't destroyed.
Is the existence of the cycle of reincarnations of Indra and Ashura a curse, or is it just the conflict between them? Because their existence creates the risk of unlocking a new rinnegan, even if Sasuke's (and Madara's) is destroyed.
So far, Sasuke's plan does involve one way to prevent everything happening all over again: destroying all of the tailed beasts forever.
I wonder what Sasuke means by continuing his new system by becoming immortal. Does he mean to be immortal as Sasuke, retaining all of the knowledge that he gained as Sasuke rather than allowing Indra to reincarnate and having to grow, work hard, and realize everything from scratch all over again?
It's possible that by remaining alive this prevents Ashura from reincarnating if one of the conditions of reincarnating is that both of them have to be reborn simultaneously. This would also mean that he can ensure his loneliness is permanent by living forever.
That would make for an interesting prophecy, one that Sasuke could write himself: if he were to die or was killed somehow, he would still be reborn but somebody who could rival him would also be born (Ashura).
