Characters without any given powerups deserve more respect.

I constantly see the lists of who's the strongest and such but those lists are really lame. But in what way lame? For example, when I see Kakashi with 2 MS in lists or something similar, that's when it gets lame. The dude used the power for like 10 seconds but people automatically put it on pedestal. I understand that given powers have to be included if you want to list the absolute strongest force in overall capability, but I think that characters who exhibited major superiority with their power alone deserve a lot more respect and one can only wonder what they would do in the shoes of the past or current powerup recipients.

Hashirama, Itachi and Nagato. The absolute destroyers of any character's reputation simply because of their impact during their own time. I know Nagato got the eyes but he used those eyes with his ability alone. No "artificial" enhancements were given to him to support that usage.

I probably forgot some of them who noteworthy as well, so feel free to note them.

Nice that you added on the list. Concerning this topic, they're all in the same position, neither is worse or better. The reputation though is another thing. Sakura can't compete with any of them in that department.

I don't agree with Guy on some occasions. His power is his alone, but once he opens the 8 Gates, he dies. Which makes it hard to use, actually.

Weapons aren't considered borrowed power. That's nonsensical, it's the equivalent of saying any shinobi with a kunai isn't using their own power... they're just tools at the end of the day. It would take Kisame off the list as well, considering over 70% of his power comes from Samehada. And Minato due to his FTG kunai. Weapons aren't something genetically added, hence they aren't borrowed power.

Those are all the shinobi with a good level of strength who didn't take power ups.

Also, Orochimaru should be mentioned considering he gathered research and takes over bodies... the body he's in isn't his own power. Kisame literally takes other people's chakra in every fight and uses it as his own. He's not on this list either.

That's why I said he earned them...? It's not like he needs those weapons in the first place.
