Nah. MSN, Skype, online chat rooms, VMs, PMs, Social Groups, an online chat embedded into the forum isn't needed. I prefer thread format over online chat format when it comes to talking to more than one person by far.

We have too many members for that. There's a plethora of alternatives that you can use for group chats such as Skype, Viber, Facebook, (etc...) then there's the online chats as well; you can use any of these (or all of them for the exact same purpose throughout all mediums to maintain the "cool kid" factor). ^This really, It's tiring but I doubt chat function would do more good then harm.

Lets talk technical. Provided, I do want one. I myself posted one thread in suggestion. But NB runs on old server and its hard for the mods and they don't want to take another burden in NB. Althogh if there is one, I think it will be easier than visitors message.

Say like exactly what ?Post what you think when you mean 'Online chat' in your Opening post other than thread title.As for the your suggestion,I think Visitor Messages and Private Messages existed for the chat and communication purposes

Are you people doing this on purpose or what? This is now the 2nd time I have to explain this today: this has been suggested numerous times before and it will not be implemented because

1) You already have enough means of communication.

2) It would be impossible to moderate. Many people already have extreme issues behaving with the current means of communication, the last thing we need is the option of people throwing around insults and crap on a platform that's impossible to control and this has been tested btw.

3) A chat with hundreds of people posting in it and thousands visiting it, would cause an unnecessary strain on the forums.
