I know that we needed a naruto vs sasuke fight. hell, i'm enjoying it. But the reasoning was pure shit.

It makes no sense:

I get that sasuke's doing this whole "i need to be the villain" and "i'll live alone" stuff, but his reasons for killing naruto are crazy.

Naruto was the one who brought the nations together, tamed all the bijuu, defeated kaguya with him, inherited the sages will, turned obito good, and brought peace to the world.

Sasuke knows this. Just saying "i need to kill naruto so i can be alone and friendless" is just cheap and lazy

Like, FINE, go be emo and alone and stuff, but his rationale for needing to kill naruto just feels forced.

He knows that naruto is a positive influence on the world. It is just really bad writing. Not sasuke's fault i guess, kishi wants to rap this shit up

You are right.

The rationale Sasuke is using just seems cheap and poorly thought out. He seems like a totally mould-able character and has no real persona or motive.

Also, the fight is a bit sh** frankly. They were super-powered for roughly 2 seconds and then we see them fist fight a panel later. Don't get me wrong, I am actually enjoying the fist fight more than I've enjoyed many of the recent fights.
I am just well aware that after 1000+ chapters and waiting for a final battle fitting for a 15 year wait, this is not what I was after. I wanted to see them really going for it, using their all and tiring gradually. Naruto has fought for days on end and we are now to believe one attack took it out of him?....nah, just nah.
We are at the 3rd part of the fight and it's the end, bare in mind that part 1 only had one scan of them fighting and even then it was a clash. Kishi clearly cannot be f***ed anymore and it's a shame after 15 years of loyal fans following his every chapter.

He's tired of being chased everywhere by Naruto as well as Naruto swearing that he's going to bring him back to the leaf and make him good again.

*This is is the only way for his plan as hokage to be successful.

1.)** How can everyone in the ninja world hate him at the level his plan needs? Kill the one who united them and ended the war. (Sasuke wouldn't let on that he had a hand in it to deepen their hatred)

2.)** He wouldn't have to kill Naruto if he'd go along with his plan. Kakashi and Sakura believe what he said would tell everyone all Naruto has to do is let Sasuke fulfill his plan, but that's just not Naruto.* That's where this comes into play

In that moment Sasuke knew that Naruto wouldn't let him do this.

3.)** If he's alive he'd let everyone know his feats in the war and his plan. They can't hate him knowing that besides Naruto has always wanted Sasuke out of darkness.

Sasuke is afraid of having bonds. He's afraid of having people taken from for reasons beyond his control. For this reason, he's become obsessed with destroying his bonds on his own, because in his mind that will at least let him be the one to decide when/why he loses them, and once he loses everything he'll at least be free to stop fretting over losing more.

He can't place faith in Naruto, and go back to loving and being loved by others, because doing so leaves him open to losing his loved ones all over again; to him, that's even worse than the hell of loneliness. That's Sasuke's deepest reason for his current actions, I believe; not sincerity towards his Kage definition, but simply fear of loss.
