Kamui isnt needed, maximal kamui shurikans, but PS is enough to cut throuh the alliance, while 8gate guy stomps the alliance with EE elephant into the ground.
One must say the alliance is made up of 80000 shinobis, i dont know if the rivals succeds in killing all of them with the time limit of 5-10 minutes

That is when they are grouped up, which they aren't in this case. That means EE at best is hitting a few hundred at a time, if that.

8th gate is limited in time, therefore it has a time limit. 7th gate isn't cutting it, and even that is limited.

The fight went on during the talk with Hagaromo, it's not like it paused. Gai has 5-8 minutes in 8G at best, a bit like Naruto's BM.

It's temporary but in the end, it one's ability to hold it up for a period of time. That's why Gai can hold up his longer than Lee can. There's no exact time limit but one's ability to hold it up for a longer time than another.
