What wAs the story about then?

Kishi's editor told him to Create someone , and that someone is Sasuke, and as you can see the story basically revolves around Sasuke , Sasuke's existence in the story is soooo important lol its obvious , if That eidtor didn't tell Kishi about Sasuke then what was the story about? Naruto will not have Sasuke , the story would be alooot different too, i think there is no Itachi if there is no Sasuke.
