What made Danzo evil.

Hashirama (light) and Tobiramam(shadow) were brothers and total opposites. While Hashirama was more light hearted, Tobirama was colder and more militant.

Hiruzen, seen as a prodigy was trained by both of the Senju bros. Danzo was trained by just Tobirama. While Hiruzen had Hashirama to help balance out what he learned from Tobirama, Danzo was just trained by the more darker of the bros.

We also know that they were friends with Kagami Uchiha who had the sharingan. The sharingan is associated with darkness and evil. Curse of hatred.


My theory is that Kagami Uchiha died saving Danzo and gave Danzo his eye. Similar to the Obito/Kakashi thing. Since the sharingan is basically shown to corrupt, it brought out all of the darkness in his heart.

Remember when the 9 tails attacked? Hiruzen and the other elders were all there excluding Kagami and Danzo. That explains danzos wrapped head at the time.

Danzo didnt get Shisuis eye until right before the massacre which took place after the kyuubi attack. His head was already wrapped, hiding a sharingan. He also had an arm full of sharingan too.

Completely agree with you, evil and dark have never been descriptions that have crossed my mind in my entire time since Tobirama was introduced.

I didnt make myself clear enough. By dark I meant he had what it took to do what needs to be done. Unlike Hiruzen who relied on Danzo to do it. Danzo was more like Tobirama while Hiruzen was more like Hashirama.

Danzo is like Sasuke living in the shadow he understood how Shinobi world works but he overreacts and wanted the decision as fast as possible . His ideologue diverges people's opinion and creates mistrust eventhough he wanted to protect the village .
