In the chance that he drops the blade, his defense is on par with Yata Mirror/Itachi's Apron/Deadji. He can tank attacks at the base of his spine.

Iruka is going to come in once Naruto vs Sasuke ends and declare the start of his revolution and first thing on his list is getting rid of Sasuke by throwing him back in the lava dimension and then throwing Naruto in the acid dimension then going to kakashi telling him they killed each other and kakshi thinks back to when Naruto said they both would die if they fought again which makes Iruka statement seem logical and believes him and then Iruka breaks Kakashi's neck and proceeds to impregnate Sakura while she is knocked out so that when he kills himself he will come back in a younger body with new abilities at his whim...
